Caturday & Babasmas - Spectrum

Caturday & Babasmas - Spectrum

ENGLISH

- A spectrum (plural spectra or spectrums) is a condition that is not limited to a specific set of values but can vary, without steps, across a continuum. The word was first used scientifically in optics to describe the rainbow of colors in visible light after passing through a prism. As scientific understanding of light advanced, it came to apply to the entire electromagnetic spectrum.

Spectrum has since been applied by analogy to topics outside optics. Thus, one might talk about the "spectrum of political opinion", or the "spectrum of activity" of a drug, or the "autism spectrum". In these uses, values within

a spectrum may not be associated with precisely quantifiable numbers or definitions.

Wikipedia, Spectrum

Spectrum is a difficult album to define. It's a concept, which is addressed to "those who listen to everything", but it's also above all a politically and socially committed album. This album fights for the recognition of transgender, non-binary, but also neuroatypic/psychoatypic people.

The first auditory experience that this album offers its listener is a very intimate jazz atmosphere. The last one is an extreme and deconstructed grindcore song. By taking the listener by the hand to take them from this first

experience to this last one, the album draws a continuous spectrum of musical genres.

Reflected, composed and produced for more than a year, Spectrum is the mature result of a personal social deconstruction, and pays tribute to all people marginalized due to their differences.

I hope that this album will please you, speak to you, and make you recognize the beauty of a spectral vision.

VFR
